Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, You will be greeted by our Bhutanese representative at the airport. After meet and greet, drive towards Thimphu, the charming capital of Bhutan. The journey is approximately 65 km and takes around 1.5 to 2 hours through picturesque mountain roads and riverside views.
Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll through Thimphu’s local markets and get your first feel of Bhutanese culture.

Start your day with a hearty Bhutanese breakfast. Today is dedicated to exploring the cultural and spiritual highlights of Thimphu. Begin with a visit to Kuenselphodrang View Point, where you can witness the majestic Buddha Dordenma Statue, one of the largest seated Buddha statues in the world.
Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a spiritual landmark dedicated to world peace, and gain insights into Bhutanese life at the Folk Heritage Museum. Enjoy an authentic Bhutanese lunch at the museum’s traditional restaurant.
Post lunch, visit Sangaygang View Point, stop by the Takin Reserve Centre to see Bhutan’s national animal, and explore the ancient Changangkha Monastery perched on a hilltop. Conclude the day at the Tashichho Dzong, an impressive fortress and the seat of the Bhutanese government.

Highlights: Dochula Pass – Himalayan peaks – Punakha Dzong – Chimi Lhakhang – Suspension Bridge
After breakfast, depart for Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan, through the breathtaking Dochula Pass (3,100m), adorned with 108 memorial stupas and colorful prayer flags. On clear days, the panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Masagang, Gangkhar Puensum, and Table Mountain are simply breathtaking.
Continue your descent to Punakha and check into your hotel. Post lunch, explore the stunning Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. Visit the Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, built in honor of the "Divine Madman" Lama Drukpa Kunley. End the day with a walk across the Punakha Suspension Bridge, one of the longest in Bhutan.
Overnight Stay: Punakha / Wangdue
Highlights: Scenic drive – Simtokha Dzong – Ta Dzong – Rinpung Dzong – Tamchog Lhakhang
After breakfast, begin your drive to Paro, retracing your path via Dochula Pass. En route, stop at Simtokha Dzong, Bhutan’s oldest fortress now functioning as a monastic school.
Upon reaching Paro, check into your hotel and proceed for local sightseeing. Visit the Ta Dzong, a unique circular building that once served as a watchtower and now houses the National Museum. Head to Rinpung Dzong, a classic example of Bhutanese architecture, overlooking the Paro Valley. Later, visit Tamchog Lhakhang, a temple built by the famous Tibetan iron bridge builder Thangtong Gyalpo.

Highlights: Taktshang Monastery Hike – Bhutan’s most iconic site
Enjoy an early breakfast before starting your hike to the legendary Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliffside at 3,120m. The hike takes 2-3 hours (one way), but the view and spiritual ambiance make it absolutely worthwhile. Legend has it that Guru Padmasambhava flew here on the back of a tigress and meditated, introducing Buddhism to Bhutan.
Return by afternoon and enjoy leisure time in Paro’s quaint town or visit a local spa to relax.
